Reclosable Zippers

SanZip reclosable zippers are designed around the material and function of the package. Selection should consider the film, sealing temperature, packed product, barrier requirements, retort conditions, opening behavior, and the desired consumer experience.

Sensory Series

The Sensory Series provides audible and tactile feedback when the zipper is closed. This gives consumers clearer confirmation that the package has been resealed and creates a more distinctive closing experience.

The series is available in single, double, and triple configurations.

MX-11F for Mono-Material PP Pouches

MX-11F is designed for PP-based mono-material packaging. It can seal to both PE and PP films and supports very-low-temperature heat sealing for the production of high-quality finished pouches.

The profile width is approximately 11 mm. Typical holding-force data in the brochure is 9.8–24.5 N/50 mm on the outside and 63.7 N/50 mm or higher on the inside. These figures are typical values rather than product specifications.

MML-13E for Mono-Material PE Pouches

MML-13E is designed for PE-based mono-material pouches. It significantly reduces wrinkles after sealing, allows a lower sealing temperature, and makes the side points of the pouch easier to crush during pouch making.

The brochure references a sealing-temperature reduction of approximately 20°C or 36°F compared with the standard product.

BIO-11TK for Compostable Pouches

BIO-11TK is made from biodegradable material and can be heat-sealed with PLA and PBS films. It is not designed to seal with polyolefin films.

Product materials state compliance with applicable regulations in several markets, including the EU, FDA requirements, Japanese food-hygiene requirements, and China GB9685, and reference OK Compost Industrial certification.

Typical holding-force data in the brochure is 20 N/50 mm on the outside and 105 N/50 mm on the inside. These figures are typical values rather than product specifications.

MX-20FCR Child-Resistant Zipper

MX-20FCR is designed for pharmaceutical and chemical packaging. It is intended to help prevent children from accessing hazardous contents through conventional opening methods, while allowing adults to open the package using the internal tabs.

Pouches using the SanZip child-resistant zipper are referenced as conforming to CSA Z76.1-16, ISO 8317, and US 16 CFR §1700.20.

LL-13P Powder-Proof Zipper

LL-13P is designed for powder products. Its profile creates a wider internal space so trapped powder can be removed with a simple finger movement. Even when powder enters the profile, the zipper is designed to close more easily than a conventional profile.

Typical applications include milk powder, protein powder, coffee, spices, flour, and other fine granular products. A version that can seal to both PP and PE films is also available.

MX-13X Water- and Air-Proof Zipper

MX-13X provides high airtight performance and strong resistance to pressure. It can seal to both PE and PP films and supports very-low-temperature heat sealing for high-quality pouch production.

Typical applications include pouches requiring airtight, watertight, or moisture-resistant performance.

MX-19CL Easy-Tear Zipper

MX-19CL allows consumers to tear a pouch more easily in a straight line. It can seal to both PE and PP films and supports low-temperature heat sealing at approximately 135°C.

MXC-13A Clear-Click Sound Zipper

MXC-13A produces a clear audible click when the zipper is closed. It can seal to both PE and PP films, while the point-sealing area is designed to be crushed easily during pouch production.

MP-13RET-001 Retort Zipper

MP-13RET-001 is designed to provide a secure, airtight seal for ready-to-eat meals, soups, curries, sauces, and other retort products.

The product range includes options for semi-retort conditions at approximately 105°C for 15 minutes and high-retort conditions at approximately 135°C for 15 minutes.
