Printing Inks
Printing-ink selection depends on the printing method, print position, substrate, lamination requirements, curing system, resistance requirements, and end-use conditions.
Cosmos Anylay Ink Series
Cosmos Anylay is a reverse-printing gravure ink series available in water-based, cosolvent, and alcohol systems. It is formulated for substrates such as OPP, PET, O-Nylon, and treated polyethylene.
The Anylay TMF type is intended for reverse printing on OPP, PET, O-Nylon, and treated polyethylene. Product materials reference Toluene- and MEK-Free options for applications such as snack-food packaging, boilable packaging, retort, and high-retort structures.
Typical composition references include polyurethane or vinyl resins, organic pigments, carbon black, titanium dioxide, and selected slipping agents.
Cosmos Cospa Ink Series
Cosmos Cospa is designed for surface-printing rotogravure applications that do not require lamination. Suitable substrates include PE, PP, OPP, PVC, metallized film, and paper.
Typical applications include shopping bags, gift wrapping, and other packaging where the ink remains exposed on the outer surface. The formulation therefore focuses on surface-printing performance and durability.
Cosmos Ink Series
Cosmos Ink Series is an economical reverse-printing gravure ink designed for OPP and direct PP extrusion applications. Typical end uses include snack-food packaging, noodle packaging, and soap packaging.
The series is positioned for customers who require a practical balance between print performance and production cost.
Artience Toyo Ink SS BTC
SS BTC is a functional screen-printing ink developed for battery containers. It is designed to adhere to untreated and pretreated polypropylene and polyethylene sheets and injection mouldings.
The printed film provides a smooth, dense, glossy appearance with excellent packaging appeal. Its key properties include screen stability, battery-acid resistance, gloss, fast drying, and strong adhesion.
Recommended drying references:
- Jet drying at 60°C for approximately 15–20 seconds
- Air drying for approximately 15–20 minutes
- Convection oven at 70°C for approximately 1–2 minutes
- Mesh: No. 250 monofilament
The ink should be stirred well before use. Because plastic composition and treatment levels may vary between manufacturers and batches, adhesion should be tested before a full production run. Flame treatment may be required to obtain the desired adhesion.
Artience Toyo Ink UV FDO Series
UV FDO is a UV dry-offset ink designed for Expanded Polystyrene substrates. Printed EPS may be used for frozen-food, snack-food, and dry-food packaging.
Its key characteristics include good adhesion, blocking resistance, printability, trapping, levelling, rub resistance, UV curing, and low odor.
Hubergroup NewV Series
NewV is a highly sensitive UV ink series developed for low-energy curing systems such as H-UV, LE-UV, HR-UV, LEC-UV, and selected iron-doped lamp systems.
The series offers high reactivity, fast curing, rapid stabilization of the ink-water balance, low dot gain, good transfer, and high mechanical film resistance. Product materials also reference compatibility with IPA-free printing, presses without ink agitators, laser printing, hot-foil stamping, and cold-foil lamination, subject to preliminary testing.
The color shades are referenced in accordance with ISO 2846-1 and ISO 12647-2, and the series is optimized for NBR and EPDM rollers.
